I had an old Gordon RD-1 cellar door that was in really bad shape when I bought the house: rusted out and installed over rotted wood. Eric from Glazed Cellar Door came out and walked me through all my options, from custom doors to a like-for-like replacement. He never pressured me or tried to upsell, just gave me clear, honest advice, came out and measured everything out as part of the quote, and worked with me on the price.
What really stood out was the attention to detail; he even worked to match the door color to my foundation paint and customized the paint color to fit in better. The installation went smoothly, with the new door set directly into the cement for a solid, long-lasting fit.
It’s been about a month now, and we’ve had several rounds of heavy thunderstorms roll through. The door still looks great, and for the first time ever my cellar stairs have stayed completely dry during heavy rain. That never happened with the old door.

We needed our Bilco door replaced and came across Eric's website. Glad I did. Eric gave us a great quote and explained the whole project from A to Z. We didn't feel any pressure into hire him. He also suplied the door which he glazed himself. It came out really nice.
Our old door was really old and discontinued, Eric made the necessary adjustments in order to install the new one without any issues. He is really attentive to details. If anyone needs a Bilco replaced, Confident Home Remodelers and Eric is the company to go with.

Eric did an excellent installing a brand new Bilco cellar door to replace an existing wooden cellar door. It was clear that he had extensive experience installing Bilco doors and knew exactly what needed to be done. His pricing was reasonable, and he was easy to work with. I would highly recommend him. If you need someone to install a Bilco door, would I strongly recommend getting someone with experience installing these types of doors. It is not a project you can "wing it" and figure out as you go along.

I would definitely recommend Confident Home Remodelers. I contacted Eric from Confident Home Remodelers to provide an estimate on repairing my basement Bilco door and steps. This was an item from a home inspection on the sale of my home. The door was leaking water under the front sill causing the concrete to breakup (think freeze / thaw cycles) allowing more moisture in rotting the steps along causing additional issues.
Eric examined all the issues and provided his solution to the problem explaining it to me step by step. When he wrote up the proposal it contained all the things he had described and his price was very good. He was able to start the next day and completed the job in three days. He completed the job before any of the other contractors were even going to be able to begin the work. This was important to me as the contract had an aggressive closing date. Confident Home Remodelers worked out to be the perfect choice for me. They were prompt, professional, provided excellent quality workmanship, for a very good price, and completed the work on schedule.
